Mahon to Carloforte

6.30am (or 0600 to us seafarin' types)

Well, I thought I'd better get up early and let you know that we're off shortly. Mr Vaughan is up (but I reckon he's just showing off!) and we plan to be leaving around 0800.  Weather looks great and on the Intrepidity Scale, I would say it was a 'one'.  (we use use the British Imperial Scale of 1 to 5, can't be doin' with all this European metric stuff but, if you're under 30, their scale is 1 to 10!)

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeh, we're off to Carloforte in Sardinia (bottom left, unless your a girl, in which case, when you've turned the page round, it's on the right?) and we're expecting a 25 hour journey.  It all looks very nice but there is a bit of blow coming in tomorrow afternoon, hence the early start.

See you later
